The Avalanche Foundation just launched Retro9000, a grant program offering up to $40M to support developers building on Avalanche's Layer 1 (L1) blockchains.
Here’s the scoop…
🔺Avalanche9000 Upgrade:
Makes it easier to deploy L1 blockchains by lowering costs and removing Primary Network validation requirements.
🔺 Incentives for Developers:
Retro9000 rewards projects based on a community-driven leaderboard—encouraging innovation and transparency.
🔺 Interchain Messaging (ICM):
Enhances communication between L1 blockchains for better interoperability. More information is to be revealed at the Avalanche Summit LATAM in Buenos Aires.

While Immutable remains the largest gaming-centric blockchain with 174 verified titles, it claims a higher total that lacks public validation.

Many new titles on TON are simple games that attract users with play-to-earn models, demonstrating the importance of accessibility in driving blockchain game adoption.
