Sky Mavis Recovers Millions from Ronin Bridge Hack
Sky Mavis creators of the Axie Infinity IP have successfully recovered $5.7 million from the 2022 Ronin Bridge hack with the help of Norwegian authorities.
Here are the key points:
🔹 15% of recovered assets will be used to cover costs and expenses incurred by those involved in the recovery efforts.
🔹 The remaining 85% of the funds will be deposited into the Axie Infinity treasury.
🔹 Law enforcement also froze an additional $40 million in digital assets related to the incident.
🔹 The effort involved coordination between Norway’s Økokrim and blockchain forensic teams like Chainalysis.
🔹Despite the 2022 setback, Ronin remains one of the top blockchains for NFTs and web3 gaming to date.
