Over $5 Billion has been invested into mobile game studios since 2020 - and the market continues to shift. Below is a quick breakdown of the current landscape, based on recent data from InvestGame & GDEV.

➡️ Series A rounds are struggling
Fewer deals are happening as investors demand stronger data-backed growth. Median check sizes are up, but risk appetite is down.
➡️ Early-stage deals still hold steady
Pre-seed and Seed funding has remained stable, with median checks around $2.3M.
➡️ Casual studios outperform midcore
Casual studios attract more deals and investment. Turkish developers account for 27% of all VC capital in this segment since 2020.
➡️ Regional trends are clear
Europe and Asia dominate funding in the midcore space, with 66% of all investments.
➡️ M&A activity is on the rise
In the last 12 months alone, five deals totaled $7B - the highest since 2022. In H1’25, 98% of all gaming M&A volume came from mobile studios.
